This Zapotec rug was woven by master weavers Marinana & Rodolfo in Santa Ana del Valle, a small weaving and farming community in Oaxaca, Mexico.

The skills of collecting plants for natural dyes, dyeing, spinning and weaving are passed down through the generations. Each rug starts as a drawing on graph paper with every centimeter planned and is woven on a handmade loom.

The colors in this rug come from all natural dyes of indigo, marigold, cochineal, pommegranate and walnut. The lite cafe color is natural undyed wool from the guanaco, an alpine lama.

Our soft wool rugs last forever and keep your feet warm and make a space cozy and beautiful.

Purchase a rug mat that is just smaller than your rug. To clean, shake your rug outside. If you wash it, do so by hand in cold water with little agitation and mild soap. Hang dry.
